The Rocking Horse

Every now and then you find a treasure in your parents attic. When I became a mom I knew I wanted to use something from either my childhood or my husband's for our child. Something we could eventually pass down to him when he may have a child one day. My parents came across this gem in their attic and it was perfect. 

I grew up with my dad woodworking, and he made this amazing little rocking horse. He made a few things for me that Carson still has to grow into before using but this is first on the list of toys he made. What makes this particular piece extra special it the fact my dad had leftover wood from making this and saved it for all of these years. Adam was able to get his hands the extra wood and made a table for Carson to use someday in the not so distant future. So now we have a rocking horse made by dad used by myself made with the same wood as a table made by Adam to be used by Carson. I am so happy that Adam was able to do something so special with that extra wood.
