Last weekend was hotter than hell. We had to figure out something to do to keep us out of the house but also not outdoors...alot...so. We live all of 50 minutes outside of DC so we truly have no excuse to not go there and do some sight seeing per se. 

That is how we ended up at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum. It has AC which is key in this weather, and a lot of things to see and do. We just happened upon this little garden soon our way out of the crowds of people heading to lunch. 

It was a lot of fun but extremely crowded. Apparently everyone had the same "get out of the heat" idea as we had. We still had a great time though and can't wait to go back up there to see other museums. Maybe when it's not quite as busy.
